What shall we say to these things? VIRUS vs church

The Virus has done more than cause sickness and death, it may well have taken the courage away from the Christian community. Are we responding to the greatest opportunity in our lifetimes to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with paralysis, fear, and apathy? Have we lost our eternal perspective and replaced it with a craving for earthly survival?

What shall we say to these things?

“The lazy man says, “There is a lion in the road! A fierce lion is in the streets!” (Proverbs 26:13)

The church has survived greater challenges than we face right now. Kingdom perspective has always been the key to thriving in the midst of fearful times. The body of Christ has an eternal perspective. Life on earth is brief and survival has never been our focus. Our focus has been the Kingdom of God; It’s King, It’s Purpose and it’s Mission! Talk about your essential workers there are none on earth more important than the body of Christ!

Talk about your essential workers there are none on earth more important than the body of Christ!

A medical doctor may be able to save a life from the virus but they cannot save the soul from consequences of sin. WAKE UP CHURCH! You are essential! This is your hour! God has called you to this time, this place, these people. We must not respond with Fear we must respond with Faith, Hope, Love.

“What shall we say to these things? If God is for us who can be against us?” (Ro. 8:31) We have the answer, the cure, the only HOPE for all mankind. A man may be able to create a vaccine to cure the virus, but there is only one way to cure the sin-sick soul… A Surrendered Life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

If Jesus were to walk through the front door of your church what would He most want to see? Would it be your pastor, your worship team, the children’s ministry rooms? Would he want to check out your Livestream equipment, make sure your signage is in good condition? I know for certain what Jesus would want to see…Your Spiritual Nursery (Lk. 19:10). The church building would hold little interest for Him. He would want to view your spiritual nursery. Where are the lost you have found? Where are the disciples in the making?

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt. 28:19.20)

Make disciples! This is the mission for every Christian. It is essential it is our mandate! He has provided the words (The Bible), the power (Holy Spirit), the motivation (your salvation). This is no time to isolate, it is time to infiltrate! Rise up. Be the Church.
