It’s almost Fall Ya’ll!

That means we are entering GodTalks season. Beginning Sept. 8th - Oct. 27th. This year our line up includes Christian Artist Justin Unger who will be with us Sept. 29th to lead worship and share how God Talks to us through worship. This year’s theme “Don’t let your inner voice be louder then GodTalks”. We are handing out “GodTalks” journals on Sept. 8th to the first 80 teens and adults who enter the building. These beautiful journals with the GodTalks.tv logo include a beautiful pen.

Our media team is working hard collecting on video, the stories of some of our congregational members encounters with God. Telling their personal GodTalks stories. You can see the recorded stories from 2018 and earlier at this site: God Talks You will be encouraged and inspired as you listen to these great stories. If you have a story you want to share contact us at info@gp.church

This is one of our favorite times of the year. As temperatures cool down a bit in Texas, inside the church spiritual temperatures are warming up. The stories of how God is working among his people inspire, encourage and challenge each one of us to open our heart to hear God talking to us. There are so many voices in all of our lives but none louder than our inner voice. That voice often speaks fear, doubt, shame, despair, frustration, anxiety and mistrust. Our inner voice can bring confusion and leads to bad decision making. We may decide based on fear or lack of information or even out of ignorance and later live with regret.

God is always speaking to us but do we hear him. He speaks through His word (the Bible) He speaks through spiritual leaders, even real life events that we watch unfold before us just as Jeremiah when he was told by God to go to the potters house and watch him work. There at the potters house Jeremiah saw the skillful hands of the potter work out imperfections in the clay and was able to see the application for his life and the life of his people as God worked like the master potter to remove imperfections in his cherished work “humanity”. When we quiet our inner voice we open our ears to hear from God.

Plan to join us in person or online for 8 weeks in the fall where we focus on GodTalks beginning Sunday, Sept. 8th.
