WHAT IS A GRACE PLACE? PT. 2

Practical Preaching
We believe that the best model to follow in the history of preaching is Jesus. Jesus was THE Master Communicator. The Bible says in:
Why? Because both the content and the delivery came straight from the Father. Jesus said in:
John 12:49, “The Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.”
Jesus knew who his audience was, He knew what the Father wanted to say to them and He used practical stories and illustrations to help the people understand.
Love in action
We believe that LOVE is an action word.
“Let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions” (1 John 3:18 NLT)
When we say we love you will see it as well as hear it!
Over and over again in the Bible, God commands us to love each other, and you can’t command an emotion.
Love is an Action!
Authentic Relationships
But if we live in the light, as God is in the light, we can share fellowship with each other. Then the blood of Jesus, God's Son, cleanses us from every sin. If we say we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:7-8 NCV)
In Christian fellowship people should experience authenticity.
Authentic fellowship is not superficial, surface-level chit-chat. It’s genuine, heart-to-heart, sometimes gut-level, sharing.
It happens when people get honest about who they are and what is happening in their lives. They share their hurts, reveal their feelings, confess their failures, disclose their doubts, admit their fears, acknowledge their weaknesses, and ask for help and prayer.
“Some people have such shallow soil of character that when their emotions wear off and difficulty arrives, there’s nothing to show for it.” Mark4:17(Mes)
Because it’s the only way to grow spiritually and be emotionally healthy.
The Bible says, “Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed” ( James 5:16a, Msg).
Christ Centered Worship
It’s all about Him. From the moment you step on this campus you will recognize that Jesus is being exalted at this place.
Jesus said:
48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread that has come down from heaven, so that a person may eat from it and not die. (John 6:48-50 NET)
Jesus is worshipped on this campus and in our hearts. It is all about HIM:
-The Mission
-The Buildings
-The Land
-The People
-The gatherings
-The worship!
Effective Evangelism
We believe in the Mission Jesus gave to His church and we daily participate in it.
And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:16-15)
We believe every member has personal responsibility to engage in this mission. It begins with our family and spears to our neighborhood, work place and community.
HOW DO WE EXERCISE EFFECTIVE EVANGELISM? it is effective because we serve, in love, those God has placed in our lives. We understand that people do not care how much we know until they KNOW how much we CARE! We really care about the people around us. WE LOVE WHERE WE LIVE! We make friends of our neighbors and we really love our community. That makes for effective evangelism.
