DISCOVER PEACE...
Many people describe “Peace” as the absence of conflict, war or strife. Others may see “Peace” as a quiet place or a relaxing moment in life.
In truth “Peace” is an inner not outer thing. You either have it or you don’t. Those who have it can weather great storms in life and not crumble. Those who do not have it seem to be unable to weather even simple daily frustrations.
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (Jn. 14:27)
Lasting inner peace comes from God. He gives it. He is the source of it. In Him we are able to calm the storms of our lives. We may not understand but we are confident that He is with us and that bring great peace.
Imagine walking down a dark alley late at night and in the distance you see 3 men heading toward you and they appear to mean you harm. Now imagine you are accompanied by four armed police officers as you go down that dark alley. It makes a difficult walk a bit easier.
That’s what the peace of God does for our lives. It makes a difficult walk easier.
THREE STEPS TO PEACE IN YOUR LIFE…
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:6-7)
1. PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING…
We all overestimate what we can accomplish and underestimate what God can do if we will just give it to Him in prayer. God is waiting for you to invite Him into your circumstances into your life! “present your requests to God”
2. BE ANXIOUS ABOUT NOTHING!
Worry is unproductive and it saps you of energy, courage and hope. Settle the issue of LORDSHIP! If Jesus is LORD in your life you have nothing to fear. Do not worry. God is in charge!
3. GIVE THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!
Thanks-living is victorious living. We are instructed to give thanks in everything. Whither it appears to be going good or bad we are to give thanks. God is worthy of our gratitude. Take a look what He has done in your life and give Him thanks everyday!
