    • Towel

    • Black shirt and shorts (dark colored)

    • Change of clothes - for after Baptism

    • A bag to take wet clothes home in

    • hairbrush/comb or other necessities

    • Plan to arrive at 9:30am on the day of. 

    • An assigned Grace Place team member will greet you and you will have a 15-minute orientation to provide additional details for your baptism and answer any questions you might have.

    • Following, we will have a moment for baptism registrants to take a photo with Pastor Alan and our “Made New” sign.

    • Grace Place sets time during the worship service to facilitate baptisms. Each registrant will be called one by one.

    • Once it is your turn for baptism, you will be asked if you would like to share “why” you are wanting to get baptized. Feel free to prepare something in advance by writing it out if you would like. This is optional.

  • Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you, but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a Biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Christ. The PURPOSE OF BAPTISM is a public profession of faith.
