Millennials Are My Community

Who are they?

Millennials —  persons who reached adulthood sometime close to the year 2000 — represent one of the most sought-after demographics in existence. Research suggests that millennials have an estimated $200 billion spending power. Effectively reaching this demographic has shown to require specific marketing techniques. Millennials are far more digitally connected than any other group, and they expect a more personal relationship with businesses they support.

Only about half of Millennials (adults who were born between 1981 and 1996) say they believe in God with absolute certainty, and only about four-in-ten Millennials say religion is very important in their lives. By contrast, older generations say they believe in God and say religion is important to them.

The challenge to reach the Millennial generation with the gospel of Jesus is a Grace Place Church priority! The Millennial generation make up the community we live in and serve as a church. From the beginning we set out to engage this wonderful community in a direct way.

From the structure of our services to the daily functions of our staff you can see how committed we are to impact our community. On the front lines for reaching Millennials is our Media team. We made a commitment to producing valuable spiritual content day one. You can visibly see that commitment on our website, social media, videos, weekly sermon videos and podcasts. www.gp.church

We are among the few churches across America, that made social media sharable content a part of the daily responsibility of staff. We are reaching out to the Millennial generation where they reside, in ways they understand and in content that has real value for daily living. We love this generation and are not just talking about them we are showing them we care, we speak their language and we want to join with them to make a difference in our world.
